Which Items are Accepted / Not Accepted at the Recycling Center?
The following items are accepted:
- plastic #'s 1,2 and 5 only NO PLASTIC BAGS
- aluminum
- glass
- newspaper
- cardboard
- grass clippings/tree branches/vegetative waste
- metals
- appliances
- books (hard covers must be removed)
- phone books
- clothes
- TV
- computers
- motor oil
Which Items are Not Accepted?
- tires
- plastic bags
- Styrofoam
- hazardous waste
- paint
- compressed gas cylinders - common examples are propane, nitrogen, helium, hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide cylinders.
- construction debris
- sheetrock
- fencing
- plumbing items
- carpet
- concrete
- windows
- household trash
- household / automotive batteries
