Tax Collector

Overview

The Tax Collector prepares nearly 2,900 property tax bills, as well as added assessment bills and excess sewer usage bills. This department also collects and deposits other revenue received.

Annual tax bills are mailed as soon as the tax rate is struck by the Bergen County Board of Taxation. The Tax Collector holds an annual online tax sale, and also adjusts the tax accounts for tax appeals, as well as senior citizen, disabled and veteran deductions.
