Volunteers are essential to the Oradell community. Please consider the following opportunities to join the Borough's volunteer corps:
Borough Boards and Committees
Oradell has various boards and committees, which oversee key aspects of life in the Borough. Positions on the following committees are open to volunteers:
- Environmental Committee
- Historic Committee
- OPTV / Cable TV Video Committee
- Recreation Committee
- Special Events Committee
- Stigma Free

Positions on Oradell's boards are awarded by Mayoral appointment. Residents interested in being considered for a Board position should submit a letter to the Mayor by email or 355 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, New Jersey 07649. Learn more about Boards and vacant positions on the following pages:
Friends of the Oradell Library
Through an annual membership drive and other fundraising initiatives, the Friends of the Oradell Library support and improve Oradell Free Public Library. Led by a Steering Committee, the group also organizes and presents adult programming, funds children’s programs and events, and maintains the town’s historical archive collection. The Friends of the Oradell Library Steering Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the library. New volunteers are always welcome.

Oradell Volunteer Fire Department
The Oradell Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications for Regular, Day and Junior Members. No previous training or experience is required to volunteer. The Fire Department provides guidance and training for new members as necessary. Click here for more information or stop by the Fire Department on Monday evenings between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to pick up a membership application.
