Household Garbage Pick-Ups

Garbage is picked up at the curb twice a week all year. Check the Borough's home page for announcements about seasonal service changes.

Garbage Pick-up Schedule

Picked up on Mondays and Thursdays

Pick-ups by Appointment

The DPW will pick up the following items on Mondays, by appointment only:

  • Appliances
  • Metal Items
  • Electronics

Please call the Department of Public Works office at 201-261-8610 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. to schedule a pick-up.

Curb Side Collection Reminder

Please note: Garbage containers may be placed at the curb after 5 p.m. on the day prior to regular collection and must be removed before 7:00 p.m. on the day of the collection, in accordance with Borough Code Chapter 190-6 ("Property Maintenance"). No more than five containers weighing a maximum of 60 lbs. each will be picked up on any collection day.
