Please note: Any group of 20 or more is required to obtain a permit to use any Borough park or recreation facility. Doug Parcells Athletic Complex & Playground (DPAC)

Description: Located next to the Oradell Swim Club, this facility comprises the Elizabeth Hagler Children's playground, a field house, a multi-purpose athletic field, and woodlands. The athletic field has synthetic turf that can accommodate baseball, softball, soccer, football, and lacrosse. Paths through the woods take residents to pedestrian entrances. Sponsorship opportunities are available to advertise at this facility.

Description: Located on Grant Avenue, just north of New Milford, this park contains two baseball diamonds, a basketball court, and a children's playground. Among other programs, it is the home field for Oradell Little League's t-ball program.

Hoffman Field & Playground

Description: Hoffman Park, also known as Rossi Memorial Park, is located just off Kinderkamack Road, at Waite Place. It includes a memorial to Major Marie Rossi, an Oradell resident who died serving in the Persian Gulf War. Recreational facilities include a lighted basketball court, a children's playground, and a baseball field.

Description: Located across the street from Oradell Public School, the centerpiece of Memorial Field is a playground and field house built by the Oradell Kids Foundation. The playground is flanked by soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, a lighted tennis practice / handball wall, lighted basketball courts, the C.W. Coach Muehleck Little League field, two lighted ice skating ponds, wooded groves, and a stone memorial commemorating military personnel from Oradell. Memorial Field tennis courts are open from March 15th to November 15th.

Schirra Park

Description: This small park in the center of Oradell was created in the 1960s to honor Astronaut Walter M. Schirra, Jr. It includes a gazebo, benches, Oradell’s public bulletin board, a flag pole, and a plaque commemorating Schirra as the only astronaut to fly in three U.S. space missions. Schirra Park hosts various civic events and ceremonies throughout the year.

Description: Oradell's ice skating ponds are located behind the C.W. Coach Muehleck Little League field, just off Oradell Avenue. Check website for updates. 

Van Buskirk Island County Park

Description: Van Buskirk Island is a man-made island that was created when the Hackensack River was dammed in the 19th century. It is home to many different bird species. The now defunct Hackensack Water Works treatment plant is located on the island. These buildings are listed on both the state and the national Registers of Historic Sites for National Importance.

Spend an enjoyable time paddling the calm forest-lined waters of the Hackensack River from Bergen County’s newest park. This clear, freshwater stretch of river is located just downstream of the Oradell Dam and above the head of tide. Like Overpeck, Van Buskirk Island Park is perfect for novice paddlers, families and the out-of-practice. The safety notes and rules are the same as those at Overpeck.

*The Paddling Center’s season typically runs from early May until October 15. The center will be OPEN (weather permitting) on the standard dates/time of operation, and will also be OPEN on the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

Reservations are required for groups of 8 or more. Boats are always subject to availability.

Description: Follow Grant Avenue north to the Veolia Water facility on Lake Shore Drive to access a world of outdoor enjoyment. Here residents can access five-miles of trails, winding through 90 acres of land adjacent to the Oradell Reservoir. Through Veolia's Watershed Recreation program, Veolia customers can also enjoy the wooded lands surrounding the Oradell Reservoir for fishing or bird watching from April 1st through November 30th. Private/Members-only Facilities

Oradell Swim Club

Description: The Oradell Swim Club is a private club available to residents of all towns. Open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, the club boasts four pools, a picnic area, and changing facilities. Members can also take advantage of swim lessons, lap swimming, games, and other social events. For membership information, click here.
