Prescription Drug Safety & Disposal

Looking at disposing of unwanted medication?
We offer environmentally safe disposal of expired, unused or excess medication at our police department lobby located at 355 Kinderkamack Rd. We do not accept syringes or liquids.
Safe Syringe Disposal
Physicians - Ask your physician if he or she will take your used syringe once they are properly placed in a container.
To dispose of your syringe in your trash, your syringe must be placed in rigid containers that will protect people from needle sticks. Please use containers that will not break open in or on way to a landfill. Examples of Rigid Containers are: empty laundry containers or 2-liter soda bottles or other rigid containers with screw tops. Check with your pharmacy to see if they sell commercial containers specifically designed to hold sharp for disposal in your trash. Please besure to label the container with a warning "SYRINGES - DO NOT RECYCLE"
Help keep your community safe by properly disposing of any leftover prescription medication. Thank you!
