Licensing and Renewal Requirements
Owners of pets 7 months of age or older are required by State statute and Borough ordinance to license their pets in the municipality where the pets are housed.
All pet licenses must be renewed annually by March 1. A late fee of $5 per pet will be applied if your pet is not licensed by this deadline. Please note that failure to license your pet may result in the issuance of a summons.
How to Register Your Pet
To obtain or renew a license, please complete the application and submit it along with proof of a current rabies vaccination. The vaccination must remain valid through November of the licensing year.
Include the appropriate payment with your application:
$10 for altered pets
$15 for unaltered pets
Checks should be made payable to The Borough of Oradell.
Rabies Vaccination Information
Free rabies vaccine vouchers are available through the Oradell Health Department. To obtain a voucher, call (201) 261-8106 or visit the office in person. Vouchers must be used only at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus.

Important Reminder
Rabies is a fatal disease. Unvaccinated pets are at risk of contracting rabies from wildlife and can transmit the disease to humans. Keeping your pet vaccinated protects both your household and the community.
