Payment for any of the below should be made payable to "The Borough of Oradell" and either mailed or dropped off to the Oradell Health Dept. 
 

PETS LICENSE
All Cats & Dogs within the borough need to be licensed by the Oradell Health Dept. 

MARRIAGE LICENSE
** By Appointment Only **
In the state of New Jersey there is a mandatory three (3) day or 72 hour waiting period from the time that you apply for a license until you can pick up the license for use. DO NOT sign the marriage application prior to going to the Municipal Registrar. You must sign the application while under oath in the presence of the issuing authority.

VITAL STATISTICS
The Borough of Oradell issues certified copies of the records of Marriage, Birth and Death which have occured here within the borough. 
Certified Copies have the raised seal of the Borough of Oradell and are issued on New Jersey safety paper. This office does not provide the Apostilee Seal. A completed application, valid proof of identity, payment and proof that establishes you as either:

  1. The subject of the record
  2. The subjects parent, legal guardian or legal representative
  3. The subjects spouse/ civil union partner, domestic partner, child, grandchild or sibling, if of the legal age 
  4. A state or federal agency for official purposes
  5. Pursuant to a court order
  6. A bank, title or insurance company requesting a copy of a death certificate for official business

WHO ARE QUALIFIED APPLICANTS FOR VITAL STATISTICS?
Births:
To qualify for a certified copy of a birth record the applicant must be the subject of the record, the record subject's parent, current spouse of the subject, child of the subject, grandchild of the subject, brother or sister of the subject, legal guardian of the subject or authorized legal representative of the subject. 

Civil Union & Marriages: To qualify for a certified copy of a civil union or marriage record the applicant must be one of the persons listed on the record, the subjects parents, children of the subject, grandchildren of the subject, brother or sister, legal guardian of the subject or authorized legal representative of the subject. 

Deaths: To qualify for a certified copy of a death record the applicant must be the surviving spouse of the subject, subjects parents, child of the subject, grandchild of the subject, brother os siter of the subject, legal guardian of the legal subject or authorizaed legal representative of the subject.
