Overview

The Health Department oversees a wide range of initiatives, from wellness programs for children and senior citizens to inspecting businesses for sanitation and food handling, issuing pet licenses, and managing rodent control for the Borough. Also included within this department is the Registrar of Vital Statistics, who issues marriage licenses; burial permits; and birth, death and marriage transcripts. The department's foundation is the Board of Health, which consists of seven citizen members who meet monthly to review the Health Department's activities of the previous month.
