Overview

In addition to determining the value of all real estate property in the Borough based on state-prescribed standards, the Tax Assessor establishes the value of the land and improvements, maintains ownership records, and acts on applications for property tax deductions for senior citizens and veterans pursuant to state law. The Tax Assessor’s Office houses all property record cards and a computer system describing each parcel of land in the Borough.
