Utilities and Services

Water: United Water Company

Nearby Hospitals / Emergency Rooms: Hackensack University Medical Center (30 Prospect Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601),
Valley Hospital (223 North Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450)

Sanitation: Garbage is picked up at the curb twice a week.  Click here for zone information and a pick-up schedules.

Recycling: Recycling pick-ups for newspaper/cardboard and for co-mingled glass/plastic are done on an alternating weekly schedule.  Recyclables are picked up on Wednesdays borough wide.  Oradell's Recycling Center (2 Marginal Road, Oradell) is also open to residents Monday though Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on the first and third Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Click here for details about the items accepted.

Yard Waste: Yard waste pick-ups are done once a week from April through October. Click here to view the schedule.

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal: The Bergen County Utilities Authority holds hazardous waste collection events throughout the year. Visit the BCUA's website for guidelines and details about upcoming events.

A New Resident Resource Kit can be picked up from Oradell Free Public Library's main circulation desk. It includes information about Oradell Free Public Library and Bergen County Cooperative Library System services, as well as a Borough calendar, a copy of the most recent Borough newsletter , and details about the Oradell Chamber of Commerce. To sign up for a library card, visit the library with proof of Oradell residency (e.g., driver's license, utility bill with Oradell address, tax bill, or lease).
