All dogs and cats must be licensed even if your pet never leaves the house. Licenses must be renewed annually; a late fee of $5.00 per month, per animal will be assessed beginning March 1. PSE&G's PROPOSED REQUEST TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES FOR A RATE INCREASE: To recover the costs of combating the last two weather storms, the PSE&G would like to increase their rates and pass the cost on to the ratepayer so that they can operate at a 0 risk cost model. Please state your opinion, wheteher or not you feel that this is acceptable, to the Board of Public Utilities at www.nj.gov/bpu/assistance/complaints. HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS: Please note that the Borough has yet to access damage in various local wooded areas and paths (i.e. Lotus Woods, Memorial Woods, the Commander Black bike path to DPAC). Residents should use caution in using these areas and report hanging limbs or fallen trees or any other hazards to the DPW – 201-261-8610. NIXLE ALERTS: Please take time to register for Oradell's Nixle alerts!!! To date we only have 1300 residents registered. This Nixle system proved to be a highly effective way for the Borough to comunicate important information during this recent storm. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS/RECYCLING DEPOT Dumpsters are available to verified Oradell Residents for the disposal of the following items: household garbage, newspapers, cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, commingled recyclable materials (cans & bottles), metal/white goods, brush, concrete and garden debris. These dumpsters ARE NOT to be used for construction debris, windows, sheetrock, plumbing items, carpets, batteries and motor oil.
